Fiskars products are recognized worldwide for their functionality, ease of use, and design resulting in Fiskars market leading 64% share of the Garden-Cutting category. Although analysis revealed that Fiskars footprint in the forged segment was in decline due to increased competitor pressure, Corona’s ever-expanding line of forged garden tools.

Challenged with updating Fiskars forged tool offerings design explored a multitude of solutions, covering feature enhancement, cut capability and tool construction. Consumer insights played a primary role, as consumer's desired a tool that possessed a “Modern Classic” aesthetic combined with improved serviceability and enhanced ergonomics.
